Help with Firefly Garden

Place each glow. Wake every flower. Keep the fireflies apart.

Need a person? Email sampetersen007@gmail.com. It is one developer answering, so allow a couple of days. Telling me your device, your iOS or Android version, and the name of the clearing you were on makes a real difference.

The rules, in full

Every board has exactly one solution, and each one is proved solvable by ordinary reasoning before it ships. You never have to guess.

Common questions

Is my progress saved? Where?

Yes, automatically, on your device. It is not tied to an account and the game never uploads it. On iOS the save is kept out of iCloud backups, so restoring from iCloud on a new phone does not bring it back. On Android, the phone's automatic Google backup can include it and restore it when you set up a new phone or reinstall the game. Deleting the app deletes it from your device.

The game said my progress was reset.

Saved data is checked when the app opens. If it is damaged — an interrupted write, a storage error — the game recovers to a safe state instead of crashing, and tells you. Settings and separate modes are preserved where possible. If this happens repeatedly, please email me; that is a bug, not normal.

I am stuck.

Use Hint. If a firefly you placed is not part of the solution, it asks you to remove that one first. Otherwise it points at a square that must hold a firefly: one a numbered stone forces if there is one, then the only firefly that can light a dark square, and if neither applies, simply where the next firefly goes. Undo steps back one move and Restart clears the clearing.

When does Daily Glow unlock?

After you restore five gardens. It is one new puzzle each day, the same one for everyone, and finishing it on consecutive days builds a streak.

What is Endless Night?

It opens once you finish Moonbell Hollow, the first world. It builds fresh clearings on the spot at four depths — Drift, Dusk, Deep Night and Starless — and never runs out. Each depth is marked with a difficulty from Easy to Expert, which says how far its reasoning is built to go: Easy (Drift) is pure deduction, Medium (Dusk) needs one supposition, Hard (Deep Night) needs two, and Expert (Starless) needs three.

Can I turn off the sound, or the movement?

Yes. Settings has Sound, Haptics and Reduced Motion. Reduced Motion shortens or removes animation throughout, and the app also follows your system-wide reduce-motion setting.

Does it need the internet?

The gardens and Endless Night work offline. The Daily Glow checks the date online, so everyone plays the same puzzle on the same day and changing the phone's date does not change the puzzle. On iPhone, once it has checked, the Daily Glow keeps playing offline until the phone restarts. Version 1.1 also needs a connection for ads, rewarded-ad hints, purchases, and restoring purchases. While usage sharing is on, its events are sent when a connection is available.

What does 'Share usage statistics' do?

For adults in version 1.1, it lets the game send play stats under a random installation ID, such as which levels you start and finish, how many moves and seconds they take, and when you use a hint, to PostHog, the analytics service I use. Usage analytics stays off for players under 18. If your phone's region is set to the EU, the EEA or the UK, or it reports no region, sharing stays off until you say yes, either when the game asks right after the practice or with the switch in Settings. On phones set to any other region it is on from the start, and the same switch turns it off at any time. The privacy policy lists everything it sends and explains exactly when the game asks.

Is there anything to buy?

Version 1.0 has no purchases or advertising. Version 1.1 includes ads and optional one-time purchases to remove ads or leave a tip. There is no subscription. Purchases and ads need an internet connection.

How do I report an inappropriate ad?

To report an inappropriate ad, open Settings → Report an ad. Include the advertiser, what you saw, and when it happened. You can attach a screenshot in your email app.

Accessibility

Every control is labelled for VoiceOver and TalkBack, the board announces its size and each square's state, and no interactive element is smaller than the 44-point minimum touch target. Reduced Motion is honoured. If something is hard to reach or hard to hear, please tell me — that is a bug worth fixing.

Reporting a problem

Email sampetersen007@gmail.com with what happened, what you expected, the clearing's name, and your device and OS version. A screenshot helps.
